If we don't Echo this, well, I don't know what we are echoing. Let's do it!

This 87 year old woman called the Italian police to say she was hungry and lonely. They came and cooked her pasta and reminded her that she was not alone. They stayed with her until she was finished eating , did the dishes and every so often they check in on her. #KindnessIsWealth #KindnessMatters

Not just that. Everyone who joined in February will receive 3 free months of Spoutible+.
MarcRavingMad @MarcRavingMad
It's March, which means that everyone with "Joined - February 2023" in their Spoutible profile gets to feel super smug.

#climatehope - a breakthrough discovery in physics could change how we power the world using ambient temperature. The LK-99 material is cheap to make & could power electric grids, quantum computers - basically it's "Meet the Robinsons". I'm VERY excited about this!

thread 2 Threaded Spouts
Something I’m thinking about today: No reader owes any writer their time. A story pulls them in or it doesn’t. That’s between the reader and the story, not the reader and the writer. (1/2)

GOOD READ 👇
“Most of us don’t even know that the public dollars initially designed to protect farmers and keep supply managed to feed a hungry nation in the Great Depression are now reinforcing wealthy agribusiness corporations to grow commodities that are not even meant for human consumption,"
Ricardo Salvador @cadwego
“He wants to see a version of US agriculture that centers people, animals and the environment, rather than the large-scale, energy-intensive commodity crop farms that currently receive billions of dollars in subsidies. He has a different vision for how 40% of the country’s land looks and works.”

In response to San B.
My son just earned his BS in physics, finishing with a 3.966 GPA. There is blood, sweat, and tears behind those numbers. I watched him spend hours on one homework problem, wrestling with it. Then, that blissful moment of understanding. It was amazing to watch.

So, I'm not kidding: Jordan Peterson is apparently upset that a paper towel brand is engaging in "wokeness" with their advertising.

I found this surprising because I was under the impression Peterson doesn't need paper towels. He seems pretty self-absorbed.

I went into this knowing there would be major competitors, but we have a few tricks up our sleeves we haven't revealed yet.

Scanned this as I have no interest... it's all "meta meta" and there's no way I'll be trading one emotionally stunted billionaire boy's toy for another. They may get all the attention but Spoutible has my heart. A place where maturity and civility as well as facts and ethics are valued. Super happ

We should not need #AffirmativeAction . But we do. Because racism, particularly anti-Black racism, persists in our systems, policies, and institutions.

Until we change that, decision-makers must be made to make equitable decisions.

The #SupremeCourt ruling prevents that mandate.

Compled my very berry phone pouch. The berries are excellent padding!
The stupid strap got much too short as I worked it up, so I cut it in half and added some berry padding for my shoulder.
Oh well, it's still cute!

Retired librarian here! If you’re frustrated by news source paywalls check your public library website to see if the library subscribes & offers it FREE to all registered borrowers. My public library subscribes to NYT & WSJ. Just one of the many perks of having a library card.

MSNBC has been talking about dangers of #ai today. One thing gov’t can do to regulate AI is pass laws that clearly state that the 1st A covers HUMAN speech. AI should not have the same 1st A rights. Then, if people use AI to create harmful disinfo/deep fakes they can face legal consequences.
