People keep saying what a "terrible precedent" it would be to prosecute a former president, but, like, isn't it just as terrible to have elected someone to the presidency who then did multiple serious crimes? Or worse, to knowingly let the president just get away with multiple serious crimes?

Genuinely curious if anyone on this platform has reached a threshold to get to whatever the next level after 'normal' is.

One reason I'm not surprised that nothing happened yesterday? I don't believe Trump will ever see a shred of consequence for anything he does. Wake me up when he's actually been charged. I know that's depressing, but I can't care anymore. Justice system is broken.

If there's one thing, I wish that people understood is that #essentialoils are not "essential" meaning necessary, they are just distilled down to their "essence". Your body does not require any of them. They are not essential for your body.

Just heard a Barred Owl really close to my house. "Who Cooks for You?' Is not something I hear often so it was a great surprise on this snowy night.

I love nature.

Currently on the turntable: Nelson Eddy - Til the end of time

What a rich, beautiful voice. I am sad that this is my first time listening to him. Wow!

Home by myself during this snowstorm, and so far I've cleaned and partially rearranged my living room, did a load of dishes and laundry, and reorganized a closet. I really needed this solo time apparently!

So, in non-beer news, I've resurrected an idea I've had for years (and tried to start twice). Third time's a charm? I'm going to start writing a bit about my huge and strange #vinylrecords collection, one album at a time. Most will be #firstlisten experiences. https://oddvinyl.blog/

My newest obsession is watching a YouTube channel called "Periscope Films" - their thing is that it's just digitized educational and documentary and commercial videos from the 1920s-1960s. The "Industry on Parade" series spotlight American manufacturing and, just wow.

Such a fascinating read. Even if you have zero knowledge of biology/fungus it is so interesting and captivating.

Closing in on the halfway mark on this if you don't count the 100+ pages of notes and bibliography at the end. I was telling my wife in the car that lichen might be the way to terraform Mars since it can survive Antarctica.

When you spout with an image, get in the habit of entering the Alt Text to describe what it is. It only takes a few seconds, and it allows users who are visually challenged and using a screen reader to appreciate all the content (I'm guilty but working on getting better at this)

Visiting #Denver was nice, but what's up with the terrible plowing? 2-3 inches of snow and two days later the roads still look like this?
