A healthy right wing party, for sure, but no one said it has to be Republicans. If the brand is tainted enough, I look for Liz Cheney and others to form a whole new party.

I still can't believe we're living in a country that allows an insurrection-inciting, demented, vengeful criminal/traitor to run for president. I hope, before November, Lara Trump & Trump's other toadies burn the RNC to the ground and take his campaign along with it. Then he needs to go to prison.

The Dems were once the baddies & over time, transformed the platform & values into today's. I doubt the GOP will die but it will take a long time to course-correct. I hope they can stabilize into a party of good-faith public servants with whom we can robustly debate policy again.

With the total destruction of the GQP, there will need to be a rebuild. One party is not healthy. As an old NYer I would love to see the rebirth of Rockefeller Republicans that were destroyed by Regan. Socially liberal & fiscally conservative. I am sure I will be dead before that happens though.

Don't forget that under Trump control, the primary function of the Republican party will be voter suppression and election sabotage.

My predictions on a dysfunctional RNC:

The primary role of the RNC is to provide financial support, strategic guidance, and resources to Republican candidates at all levels of government. If the RNC is in chaos and strapped for cash, it will struggle to offer adequate support to its candidates.

Fox News describing Biden spending a quiet birthday as "sad", yet if Biden had a birthday bash, they would accuse him of not working.

Biden and his wife spent the weekend helping serve thanksgiving dinner to our service men and women.

I've not seen a word of that mentioned.

We have to distinguish between being friendly and polite.

—Friendly:
If I try to be friendly, I’ll try to have small talk with you and invite you to activities. In short, I am offering to build a friendship at some level. I will do nice things for you.

Agree with all and would like to add -

If you've been even remotely conscious over the past 5-10 years, proclaim yourself to be a "progressive" but continue to push 3rd-party/no voting/independent candidates which really only serve to disrupt and damage Biden's chances - you get no more chances.

This is the Spoutible update I've been waiting months for: the ability to retain my place in Explore after backtracking from a spout there, the same way Timeline does it now. My Spoutible life now feels complete. But keep the new features and fixes coming. 🙂
Christopher Bouzy @cbouzy
In approximately two hours, we will push an update allowing you to click a spout while searching and remember your spot. The new update will also fix the issue with the timeline and search refreshing when replying to a spout. I am sure there will be bugs, so don't open a ticket but instead @ me.

Part of the goal with extreme gerrymandering is to confuse people about who represents them. It even happened to me, someone who can name half the state legislature. They gerrymandered the state school board & when I went to vote, all the names were unfamiliar. I had to look up who to vote for.

💙Democracy's💙 FIVE GOOD TO KNOWS:
1. Know your districts. Every single one.
2. Know who represents you (& who doesn't!)
3. Vote in every single election (& EVERY year has one. This year is muni & school boards. ALSO, PRIMARIES are critical!)
4. Vote your WHOLE ballot.
5. Never not vote again.
