We've been paying for their tax cuts since the early 1980s, I guess they figure that we'll just keep on doing it forever.

They want their cake and eat it too. To be able to bend federal law to their twisted version of what it should be, but they also want the right to ignore it if actual elections and votes don't go their way. It's undemocratic at the very least. There's an argument to be made for it being traitorous.

We should also be very clear, the vast majority of all those voters, including the ones voting for Haley now, are going to gleefully vote for the orange troll when given the choice between him and Biden. At this point, "incurable asshole" and "Republican" are interchangeable terms.

In the past, he has endorsed Mitt Romney and Marco Rubio... you know, an excellent track record of picking a winning platform. Might as well have just knocked on a random door in Arkansas and asked whoever answered who they endorsed.

The FBI has stated repeatedly since at least the 1980s that right-wing extremism is the primary threat to America, even after 9/11. While leading an entirely reactive campaign against it, because the real right-wing threat is the politicians that won't let them address the threat they pose.

They are actually listening to their lawyers for once. No competent attorney would ever advise a client they know is a compulsive liar to testify under oath on anything. And they likely never had any intention to testify, but as long as they put up a brave front, their cultists continue to swoon.

If there's a random culture war issue that's totally distracting people from realizing the rich are stealing from us all, it's guaranteed to have Koch money behind it somehow. It's been their playbook for at least 40 years.

The idea that he will ever see the inside of a prison cell is utterly laughable. As much as it's long overdue, people like him, and him especially, are so carefully protected by the system that it would take a sea change in the whole judiciary to ever address it effectively.

He was unfit the first time and it didn't stop him. The people who would rather burn the country to the ground than vote for a center-right candidate like Biden already have gasoline stockpiled to toss on the rest of us. It's up to reasonable people to show up and vote to keep him away from power.

No kidding. I'm pretty much always in some kind of abdominal discomfort, on a good day it's uncomfortable, on bad days it's agonizing... one of my fears is that I'm going to dismiss something serious, like my appendix exploding, as 'just another stomach bad day' and end up in the hospital or worse.

On top of guns, pretty much every policy that actively kills people: No social safety net, no universal healthcare, interfering in foreign countries and rejecting refugees, endless wars, refusal to take care of veterans... are all key pillars of the "pro-life" "Christian" "conservative" movement.

It's ridiculous that they keep framing it as Republicans looking the other way. They're not looking the other way, they're cheering him on. And even if by some miracle he isn't the Republican nominee, the entire party is still cheering for and actively pushing his policies of hate and ignorance.

Congress is the only source of misusing Social Security funds. They never should have been allowed to borrow from it without a clear plan of how that money would be paid back to the people who actually own it. Paying for housing, medical bills, and buying food is not misuse by any stretch.

It's pretty obvious that if they can't have complete control, they love being in a slight minority where they don't actually have to govern, and can instead obstruct and say no to everything and set their hair on fire at the slightest things, without accepting any responsibility for their failures.

These are the same people who have been "investigating" the Clintons for 30 years and have come up with absolutely nothing. Either the Clintons are Bond-level villains, or Repubilcans Clouseau-level inept, or maybe there's just nothing there to find? Which do you suppose is most likely?

Just imagining him sitting bolt upright from bed at 4:30 am and grabbing his phone to call his appeasement toadie: "You know what Twitter doesn't have enough of? Hateful racists and intellectually dishonest trolls. Who is left to scrape out of the bottom of the barrel? Get them back on there, NOW."
