I don't think it's a bad thing, but I do think it's hypocritical to tout Indiana as a low-tax state when that's not the case for many things. Gas taxes are some of the highest in the nation and property taxes are comparable to many areas in Illinois now.

Not nearly as certain a thing as it used to be. There were significant portions of last year where the average retail price (including taxes) was LOWER in the Chicago area than Northwest Indiana.

One of my favorites as well! Although, I usually go with regular bacon instead of Canadian bacon on my eggs Benedict.

Thanks! That's good to hear. I have a pedagogical manuscript that focuses on Twitter and I'm trying to decide if it's worth pursuing (still needs significant time invested) or if it's better to abandon it.

It's also a safety thing. Disable the unit so it can't be (easily) used by someone again. They're very specific with the photos, and you have to have one showing the cut plug, model number and serial number all in a single view.

Mine's definitely on the list. In order to complete the recall you have to submit photo evidence that you CUT IT'S CORD! 😭

On the plus side, I guess we're getting a new air fryer.

They get some special treatment. For example, showing up in the special "Verified" notifications tab. More than that? Hard to tell with the algorithm.

Meanwhile, us non-verified/Blue are definitely having our Tweets/replies deprioritized under others.

Very cool! I love seeing innovative new features that go beyond what Twitter has. Now I just need someone up visit my profile to see how it works. 🤔

Yeah. Also, keep in mind @gbosslet is still experiencing Twitter as someone with a blue check. The experience is dramatically different without that (your Tweets have their exposure deliberately suppressed and your replies get pushed below anyone who paid $8 for a blue check). It's pretty shitty.

Up where exactly? It's one of my favorites, at least in part because it's really fresh since Dave Pagel's is only about an hour away.

I'd like a platform with a wide variety of views (which Spoutible does not have at the moment) but... it's more important to me that people are kind, reasonable, and polite to each other (which they overwhelmingly are here vs. Twitter). The former can be improved upon far easier than the latter.

Yay! Good to have you here! Much more low-key here, but people are infinitely nicer (hardly any bots or trolls). Yeah, there are bugs still getting worked out, but the overall experience is so much better. I had someone actually write me a message thanking me for echoing something of theirs.

Nice! It'd also work better for Twitter if it was 19x6 aspect ratio. That way it'll show up fully in feeds instead of being cropped.

The Spoutible logo you see in the top left on the web interface is literally a .PNG that could be scaled up higher without a loss in quality! I'm talking about this one here: https://spoutible.com/them...

A "vector" image is where the shapes are defined in a way that you can scale it up infinitely and never lose quality. Kind of like instead of drawing a circle, the image contains the math formula for a circle, so you can zoom in as much as you want without losing quality. Some .PNGs are this way.

The alternative is probably worse, which would be 4-5 hours of driving and THEN an 8-hour meeting in-person where I couldn't check Spoutible occasionally on the side.
