The Club of Rome, in the 60s, laid out optimistic reports on how science could avoid climate catastrophes. The Fossil Fuel companies, knowing the reports were correct, used them to developed misinformation campaigns to delay that mitigation. This is the greatest betrayal of humanity in history

Spoke to my dad today…he mentioned Emmett Till…because he had been watching the news…he was 16 when Till was murdered…it had an affect on him and his siblings…there were 10 of them…you have to cross the Tallahatchie River to get to my grandmothers house…

Yesterday was one month since my surgery to remove cancerous neuroendocrine tumors. After 10 days in the hospital in Houston, I got home to San Antonio to recover. Thank you to everyone — friends, strangers, and even some folks who can’t stand my politics — who’ve reached out.

The little owlet glided into the yard at dawn today to watch the goldfish before bed time. She sat there for 45 minutes and never made an attempt to catch anything but a worm :) Then off to the woods for a nap.
