I want to use this site more. Right now it feels unusually cis straight and serious which has its place but isn't all I want from sm.

I learned three important things as I was training on Wednesday.

1. After I switched music platforms to Tidal, I forgot to update all the 90s classics. I got a list from my coach b/c OMG it's the best workout music!

2. You do NOT bother Sunday Coach during her heavy deadlift day. I wasn't the one

Whenever I've moved to another neighborhood, I still go to the old neighborhood's coffee shops and stores for a while. It's what feels comfortable and it sort of helps me get settled into the new place.

This doesn't work the same way with social media. So I'm going to try to use other sites more.

The lifting week starts on Sunday and this week is me coming to terms with limits. I made the mistake of chasing down a bus while fully dilated after an eye exam. While I did catch it, I stressed my knee and I was too demoralized to lift on Wednesday.

My lifting books are dear to my heart. As I was updating my workout for today, I decided to flip back and take a look at what I was doing before my baby hiatus.
I found a plateau for bench, a dramatic progression for squats and that I was 5lbs away from deadlifting 300#.
I'm nowhere near there today

Sunday my coach informed me that the honeymoon was over and that we were starting the first strength block for the mock competition in October.

And OMG she wasn't kidding even a little bit! Sunday was Day 1 and included narrow grip bench and Romanian deadlifts. I hope I can move by Wednesday

My latest and greatest is that I've started at the gym again, so be warned, there are going to be powerlifting spouts. I've been at it for about a month and gotten to enjoy my muscle memory not faltering. That said coach warned me it's going to get real after the holiday weekend!

Fireworks finally died down around 2am last night and my youngest did end up sleeping in his crib but it took nearly as long to get him settled there.

Using this site on my laptop is a game changer. Not as easy since I associate sm with my phone and I'm on my laptop for work but I'm digging it....

My partner just took all three of our 🐻 s and is headed to the farmer's market. Did I mention they're all under 3?😳 They're a super human and I did not know it was possible to love them more.
