thread 1/2
You don't see it happening because an add-on app to another app launched two days ago, and you think that everything else is now irrelevant? Good luck with Threads, but the hype will quickly fade. I remember the hype when Google+ launched, and how is that going?

Some people don't realize Threads isn't a separate service from Instagram, so the numbers are misleading. New users will first need to install Instagram and then install Threads. That will quickly become an issue. Then there is the issue with Threads not being available in certain parts of Europe.

Am I literally the ONLY person on Earth who actually liked G+? I had way more fun there than I ever had on Twitter. Moot point, I know, but I've never understood why it didn't do better.

I liked G+, as did my geekier circle of friends, but I got tired of double posting for Nana, Aunt Susie, and my other family/friends who never migrated from FB because G+ was "too new" or "too different", but mainly because none of their friends had migrated.

I liked it too.

Google did nothing to promote it after the initial launch.
