Romancelandia really needs to stop acting as if the genre has always been some bastion of progress. At one time they hated erotic romance, tried to sideline M/M romance and is still treating romances by Black authors like the unwanted stepchild. Don't get me spilling the tea.

One of the main reasons that I can't stand romance is the racism that it's awashed in.

Let me know when you do & this lifelong Bookseller/Publisher's rep will back you up! It's performative nonsense.

I was seriously out of the Romancelandia loop until yesterday.

Oh like how some folks at RWA were against including ebooks or the awarding the Vivian Stephens award to a novel about a genocidal cowboy? Or how when gay men validly critique their erasure in the m/m genre only to be accused of gatekeeping?
