Correct, and Threads is filling that void. I want to take the community aspect of Spoutible and scale it. Less "look at meeee" and more "let's have a discussion," and then show others why that is better.

Often the people who make this statement just want a social media platform with content that they can consume. They want big names. They want to drop their likes and keep scrolling. Maybe a comment but they don’t expect it anything back. Here is different, it’s a community. We talk to each other.

I would like to engage and discuss more, I often do in my head, but living with chronic illness and not much mental and physical energy I often don't have it to give. Also, many of us live in fear of saying something that might upset others, etc. So I like to scroll and echo. 1/2

Just another perspective. I do hope I still have a place here. 💗

You absolutely do. Not everyone is interested or able to post a lot or interact.

There’s nothing wrong with just browsing. The issue comes up when people think the users here aren’t worth browsing. Which is just silly.

Oh I love this space. I learn so much from others, am able to see different perspectives that are from a place of critical thinking, and feel so safe here. It is such a nice social media experience. Thank you for your insights.

You definitely do! I spout in bursts, for many of the same reasons (low spoons) as well as a lifelong anxiety that I'm boring or impositioning people by talking too much.

I hope you'll continue to do as much as you feel comfortable doing, and know that you're always welcome!

Oh thank you so much! I feel the same always concerned after that I was dominating the conversation if I got excited about something, etc. 💗

I think that’s absolutely fair! Reading, liking & echoing is just as much a part of the experience as anything else. The real USP of this place is its personal tailorability (I don’t think that’s a word but you know what I mean lol). Diff is, I bet you don’t moan about not getting enuff attention 😀

I'm with you. I seldom engage in conversations, because I've been burned before. You aren't alone.

Exactly. I just don't have the energy for someone to misunderstand my words and explain myself on social media. I always come from a place of compassion and empathy, but I am not sure it is always received that way in sm world and in person. 💗
