I will not write a 30-spout thread and just get to the point. Trump's trial is set to begin in March, with a potential conviction by the end of May. IF Trump is convicted before the election, and the GOP has to nominate a new candidate, it will lead to a historic landslide victory for the Democrats.

I don't do hyperbole or fantasies, but the prospect of a historic Democratic landslide is not just probable; it is highly likely. If Trump isn't the nominee, his core supporters will abstain from voting in protest. This will result in widespread losses for the GOP up and down the ballot.

IF my predictions are accurate, Biden will be reelected, the Democrats will maintain control of the Senate with 50 seats, VP Harris will be the tie-breaker, and the Democrats will take control of the House. The House will not be close, and Democrats will win control of the House with 25+ seats.

I don't disagree with your prediction, however, what if he isn't convicted? Or if he is convicted but doesn't do any time in prison? What do you think will happen then? If Trump IS the nominee, does Biden have a shot?

My big fear is that no matter how many Dems win seats in Congress in Nov. the Repub speaker will refuse to seat them on Jan 5th, thereby keeping a Repub majority to throw out the electoral votes and install TFG anyway on Jan. 6th. Another coup, only successful this time.

Ohh saw someone spout about how American House works and that as of Jan 5th EVERYONE begins anew and Speaker Mike Johnson isn't the official Speaker of the house anymore with a new speaker elected by all the representative-elects who then swears in the entire house. 😊

I love hearing your take on the current standings. I've been saying that the only thing really hindering Biden from a comfortable victory is the Gaza genocide. If he can find a way for a Camp David Accords style agreement between Palestine and Israel then, regardless of Trump, he will win.

Thank you for your spouts because I agree with every word that you said in your thread. I also believe that there will be a democratic landslide up and down the ballot even if Trump is a convicted felon before the election. When I mention my beliefs I'm mocked as well.
