You know, I didn't read it the way you took it. But you did. So block the person and move on, instead of dragging the whole site into this crap. I bet at least half the people you are getting riled up didn't even see the spout you are referring to.

That's just obnoxious on a couple of levels. That they would try to shame someone else for their Own choices... AND... that they would try to shame You, April. I'm still on the dead 🐦 site because of the Sussexes, & lurk on Fb because of family. Anyone try to shame me for My choices can 💋 my 🍑.

I’m very sorry that happened to you. I’m not on others because of the bullying I received on them, but I also don’t fault others for being on these sites. We all have the right to go where we feel comfortable and no one should bully you for that.

I never seem to see the drama here, always arriving late to the party and wondering who did what.
But I really can't understand why anyone would find it disloyal to be on more than one platform.

Not on X anymore. It wasn't pleasant and I don't need that anymore. Tried Mastrodon and it was too hard to use. Spoutible is enough for me.

I have accounts on different platforms, too. I have friends and family who are scattered around, and I want to remain in contact with them. It doesn't mean I want Spoutible to fail, it means that I value my relationships...which is the main reason I use social media- to feel connected.

Family and friends are the reason I still have FB & Insta. I reside in Greece (yes, scattered around for sure) but mostly everyone else are in the US.

I have accounts with Twitter, Mastodon and Bluesky.
Twitter is a sewer but there is a lot of good content. I find Mastodon difficult to navigate. I like Bluesky because a lot of interesting people are there.

Yeah, I'm also to varying degrees on Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, Slack, Discord, Whatsapp, mailing lists; and mourn all the great mailing-list, Usenet-group, LiveJournal, and BBS communities/cultures that are no more.

Nah, don’t sweat it, April. Lots of us are in multiple sm platforms. I won’t leave Twitter. I won’t leave my precious kitty accounts there. I can’t. Kitty accounts keep my life sane, my depressions manageable. Only a few ever migrated here to Spoutible. Keep on keeping on, April!

I use spoutible for world wide friends, reddit for friends with specific interests that I share, and facebook for family.
