Upma Singh @upmasinghOMG my husband has Sound of Music on because there's nothing else on. He's never seen it before and it's probably my all time favorite movie. And I'm trying so hard not to sob through it while he makes fun of both me and the movie.08:46 PM - Dec 17, 2023

In response to Upma Singh.
There are tons of how to do colorwork. Jessica McDonald has good videos.
Just search knit colorwork and you'll find exactly what you want, easy stranded, tension issues, etc.
Have fun! I can get lost for hours just watching how to videos.

That's a great question!
It really depends on what kind of colorwork you want to do.
There's basic striping, Entrelac, Intarsia, etc.
I always learn things in a back to front way, so I learned Entrelac then moved backwards to basic stripes.

Upma Singh @upmasinghI don't know if I'm ready to make this progression yet, but I just want to ask: how do you start (or where do you learn how to) incorporate color work in your #knitting ?04:43 PM - Dec 14, 2023

I'm an experienced knitter and crocheter. I always depend upon YouTube for clear, concise explanations for any kind of stitch or technique you want to know about. They're always accompanied by step by step videos showing exactly how to do a stitch or technique.

I started with stripes. The purl side shows puts a loop of the old color over the new color, but the knit side has a clean line. I really like the Hue Shift Afghan pattern, I've made it twice now. Some colorblock patterns in Mason Dixon Knitting, basically knit quilts. Good luck!

I disagree.
Part of the misery of Twitter was people fighting it out in the comments and being notified about all that mess. It’s too much.
I think that once someone replies to someone else, it’s no longer your conversation. You can still read it easily though.

My Sister doesn't understand that different sports sessions overlap so you can have baseball, football, and hockey games playing on the same day; time of the year.
No, she is not a sports fan and is clueless when it comes to sports.

Legendary LGBTQ activist Mark Segal asked then Pennsylvania Governor Milton Shapp why he was fighting so hard for equality.
"Mark, I'm in the closet as well," he laughed and followed up with, "My real name is Shapiro, I had to change it to Shapp to enter politics. So I understand discrimination."

This is well deserved.
