Back in my campout days when the smoke seemed to find me no matter where I sat (or moved), I was told the remedy was to loudly declare, "I hate rabbits!" (I don't, but...ok...). It actually worked sometimes...🤷🏻

Sadly, here in Switzerland the mental health community is still convinced predators can be rehabbed & so throw copious medical/govt resources at them only to have them repeat-offend. Swiss husband has gotten the memo & tries to spread the word, but it's gonna take awhile.

Had RFK not been assassinated in 1968, he would probably have been elected--the emergency replacement candidate, Hubert Humphrey, was Johnson's VP and like Johnson was blamed for the situation in Vietnam. Even so, Nixon barely squeaked thru.

I so miss Michael's--they have craft and hobby supply stores here in Switzerland of course, but nothing even close to the selection Michael's always had.

😍😍😍I sooo want to put together another book nook although I'm running out of shelf space to display them!

If I may ask, do you purchase kits? Would you tell me from whom? I'd love to have a new source but can't seem to find anything.

Problem is, from where I stand--there's no viable opposition party or leader to effectively oppose them. They need a Joe Biden and they don't have one.

Even further back--since the 90s, he's been shoved in everyone's face as the "ideal" of the successful American businessman, 🤮 what "The Apprentice" only reinforced, providing him a platform to attack Obama.

Coastal California is mostly blue, but you get over into Central Valley/Kern County on up the 99 to Redding and Shasta and it's MAGAt Land plus the secessionists Nigel Farage thought he was going to Calexit with Dana Rohrbacher back in the day.

My ticket to the Beatles would have cost $12 in 1966 (won it on the radio). Now a friend in the US says it's cheaper to add seeing Taylor Swift to a trip to Edinburgh than try to catch her in the US.😱

And say/do what?

Something like half these ppl aren't students, so they're there with some agenda. They won't care what Joe says. The other half have either been sucked in by propaganda or are just generally clueless. They think Joe's a dinosaur or that it's all his fault. They won't listen either.

My very 1st car was an exploding Pinto (it got fixed). I remember it fondly. Still have the scar from where the broken interior door handle sliced my finger open & I was too broke to either get a new part or go to the clinic.💥💥💥

And...shouldn't they be shooting for "Antichristos" since Revelations was written in Greek???

Unless you happened to live in a war zone or during a plague, life was not nearly as ugly as some authors like to depict it--mostly attempting to prove the supposed superiority of modern times.

There were lots of mandated religious holidays--Christmas & Easter (both 2 weeks long), Pentacost, Corpus Christi, assorted saints' days--when no one worked. Attendance at Mass wasn't viewed as some onerous, tedious duty but as being part of the community.

As active duty Nat'l Guard, Teixeira is subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) that plays by a somewhat different set of rules than the civilian court system. Considering the offense, he's getting off light--I just hope they also smack his COs.

Would like to say the perps are caught/punished, but 6+ months later after 4 arrests/releases, police are "still investigating."🤷🏻‍♀️😠
