Some great #MiddleGrade #VerseNovels or #Hybrid Verse Novels publishing this month. Last week Good Different about a girl figuring out how her #Autism doesn't mean she is damaged debuted, and tomorrow A Bit of Earth publishes with a MC from Pakistan in a modern retelling of The Secret Garden.

My hope for this place is to share fossil invertebrate awesomeness and not worry about bumping I to Nazis.

Hoping to find more Fossil Geeks.

Turns out this process goes a lot faster when I use armature wire and plasticine. I don't think plasticine will be the final medium - it doesn't harden, which can only end in disaster - but this might be close to lil' monster's final shape #kidlit #kidlitart #picturebooks #WritingCommunity

I swore I wouldn't join any new social media platforms, but then @grubreport told me about Spoutible AND I just found out that Post isn't planning to add curated Lists anytime soon. 😢 Crossing my fingers VERY hard that Spoutible does have plans to add curated private and public Lists.

#GentleReminder to everyone out there.
#ableism is deeply embedded into our every day life. often you can find a better rephrasing.
crazy, insane can be wild, outrageous, extreme
blind can be misinformed
stupid can be ignorant or frustrating
etc, etc

Hi #WritingCommunity ! Stacey is new and looking to connect. 🙂
Stacey Skinner @elfwhims
Grateful for this post! I wrote a children's book awhile ago that I've never been able to find any interest for. If there's a #WritingCommunity here, I'd love to take part

(one last spout! for tonight!)
grateful I can bring kindness freely here. I often give reminders of things I am needing in the moment, hoping they resonate if anyone needs them too.

I never want to be disingenuous or fake, just someone who has a little oil left in their lantern. 💕 be well.

💕 (also forgive my low-key and delayed fangirling. I work part time in a library and have suggested a bunch of your books to families. thank you for telling stories to help young people understand themselves, the world, and how they can make it better)

Since publishing this at the end of January, it's spread far enough that at least 3 authors with MG Verse Novels publishing this year, but not listed on Publisher's Marketplace, have reached out to have their title added. If you took a look earlier, it's worth another look to catch the new titles!

I'm feeling petty today. So I'm going to talk about that time I received feedback on pages I submitted to a mentorship program that was so harsh I've never been able to revise that manuscript since. Basically it was a thinly veiled "you can't write". T_T >.> #Been84WriterYears #WritingCommunity
Peace Zodanou @peacezodanou
I've been thinking about a hashtag for writers who aren't unicorns to talk about their long journey. Nothing against the unicorns of course. We're just doing our own thing that's all. 😆
So I present to you #Been84WriterYears inspired by my regular use of #itsbeen84years meme. 😭 #WritingCommunity

Hello friends! For the writers among us the hashtag #WritersofSpoutible could use more love. How about a fun round of introduction? Talk about what you write and a recurring theme in your work if possible. 👀
I write mainly #mglit but I have some #YA on the side. My recurring theme is found family.

Hello #WritersofSpoutible ! I write #YA / crossover speculative fiction, some under the #sff umbrella and some tilting more #Mystery or #thriller . My stories usually have found family, complex familial relationships and my characters are usually on a self-discovery path.

Kadir Nelson's Heart and Soul is a book for the ages. I'm reading it aloud to my 8 and 11-year-old one chapter a week, all the better to drink it in and discuss it. The art of the non-fiction picture book at its finest. #PB #kidlit
