Lockdown drills are traumatic for kids and teachers and with each school shooting, they become even more so. I hate that this book is needed, but collectively closing our eyes because we hate the idea of something isn't going to help.

After a (dream!) trip to Italy years ago, my husband ordered an espresso machine an hour after we arrived home. Haven't looked back! Still make pour over when time permits, but an espresso in the morning feel like magic.
