As a child of about 10, I was terrified of dying of AIDS. We didn’t know how it was acquired or spread. I read every newspaper article I could, and it terrified me. But as scientists learned more, my own fear dissipated. See, media scares you. Experts alleviate fears with knowledge.

Hearing about Matthew Perry's passing felt like a punch to the gut. And for those of us who grew up watching Friends, Chandler Bing was a member of our family who can never be replaced. Our hearts are breaking tonight, and I hope he rests in peace. May his memory forever be a blessing. 🙏🏻
