I agree with that (and I work in streaming, for a competitor). Luckily DAMSEL is just a standalone movie and doesn’t need to be “renewed” 🙂

Interesting theory, but this logo is only a few years old. And I've seen plenty of shirts for bowl games, with THE YEAR clearly visible on it, so there's no possible way the shirt can be that old.

I like throwback and vintage shirts, and I can understand why those look old. I still don't like it!

Well, every kind of bowl is two words:

Soup bowl
Salad bowl
Orange Bowl
Rose Bowl
toilet bowl

So I've never understood why people think THIS kind of bowl somehow violates that rule.

Luna! A lynx-point tabby-Siamese mix.

My wife and I discovered that in Siam, Siamese cats were called “Moon Diamonds,” hence “Luna.”

She has rare blue eyes!

I understand that. But surely simply colorizing a still from Steamboat Willie is allowed, particularly because it's "transformative," yes? Sort of like this, though this removes the cartoon's background environment.

As a (former) player, I love it. Certainly more than the dreadful 2000 version. Heck, even more than all 3 Hobbit movies, combined.

Too bad it did poorly at the box office. Maybe it can live on as a streaming series, but I don't think there will be any more movies for a while (I work in TV).

Animals seem like the easy win here, based on existing welfare laws and the growing acceptance of animal intelligence.

I'm curious to see the arguments made about plants and ecosystems. Nature needs all the legal help it can get 🌳

I believe Cheney deserves credit for speaking out against Trump, which is a noble cause. Trump must be defeated, and she can assist with that goal.

I will continue to believe that, despite your personal insults.

So you have a choice: You can continue to insult me, or just let this go.

Politicians write books. I don't fault them for that.

Honestly, I don't care WHY any of these former Trump officials is speaking out against him. Just that they ARE.

But their voices matter to GOP voters. If they can peel off 5% of Trump's votes, democracy is saved. Then we can deal with '28.

I don't claim to be an ally; I am one.

I believe Liz Cheney should be saluted for giving up a safe seat in Congress, and possibly her entire literary career, to speak out against Trump. And only for that.

We need voices like hers, because enough GOP voters will listen to her to make a difference.

I am indeed tired, but I welcome respectful discussion and am open to new information.

Cheney is a politician. She wants to be elected to higher office and sell books. This doesn't make her unique, or uniquely evil.

She doesn't plan to run now because it would help Trump. In '28, who knows?

Well, in 2020, we won, so it must have worked. But it needs to continue working. Some Biden voters may sit this one out otherwise.

I don't care why she's doing it. A politician wants to sell books and win elections, fine with me.

We need to beat Trump, and she helps us do that.

But the needle is not gonna move when the message comes from the Left.

Cheney still has credibility with some portion of the GOP electorate. If she can convince them not to support Trump, he will lose in '24 and we'll save the country.

Her message is showing how unworthy Trump is for the presidency.

I will support that message, because it will help bring about Trump's defeat. Once he's defeated, I will go back to hating Liz Cheney.

Right now she's useful. Why not use her to achieve our goals and save the country?

We'll deal with that when the time comes. She's still an apostate within her party, so any GOP election will be an uphill battle.

Right now, the existential threat to the country is defeating Trump. Cheney wants to defeat Trump. On this one issue, she's on our side.
