No religion or belief system is required for any emotion or thought, not atheism, not Christianity. Jimmy Carter is a good Christian because he is a good person, not vice versa.

Humans are animals and a part of nature. Our experiences are not different than that which is around us.

Compassion is not universal, sadly. Many faiths teach it. Logic supports it. Many lead lives devoid of compassion.

Christianity is not required to be a compassionate person like Buddhism is not required to be a logical person. But they are paths.

I used Grammarly for a while. It disagreed with a lot of my dialogue and narrative.

It is worthwhile for business and legal writing, not novels. It rarely catches a mistake in my business or legal writing.

Rightwingers pretend to be liberals to start intragroup fighting. It has nothing to do with addiction. It has to do with propaganda and disinformation.

The GOP Senate wrote a report on this from the 2016 election.

You didn't agree with me. My points were that rightwingers are likely present and rightwingers have a track record of pretendint to be Liberals online.

My point was not that Liberals are without hate.

The account shows no indication of ethnicity.

A writer is always plagued with writing characters who are different then them. All you can do is your best and just accept it will never be perfect.

But you are writing one person, not a group. Individuals are real.

Haha. I completely understand. But I liked Hank Reardon and Dagny Taggert. Objectivism is nonsensical outside a self-improvement seminar. Free markets are a complete fantasy.

Society would have just replaced all those businesses as they starved in a cave in Colorado(?).

Ayn Rand was a decent novelist. Her characters were great, as far as stoic characters can go. She was a horrible economist and philosopher.

If I may attempt to answer. I think it is fear and the need for easy answers. If I am afraid of crime, being told that skin color is an indication of crime reassures me.

And then there is the desire to feel superior.

Racism is not just inhumane, but illogical.

I hear you. I challenge the use of "we." I think you will agree. Most of us did exactly what you say. Some of us did more.

But that is true for all progress. Most took the status quo that the earth is flat. Then Copernicus noticed the ship's sail is visible before the hull on the horizon.

There are problems with incentives in our society. I mean when you live in a culture that demands you see one another as competitors, people compete and revel in others' loses.
