I live in Hawaii on the Big Island. The warning sirens are only placed near the ocean and are primarily used as tsunami warnings. They tell people to head to higher ground, but that is where the fire was coming from.I live at 1500 feet elevation and we do not have any sirens nearby that we can hear.

Patterns still come in the original version of sizes, which seem to typically be a few sizes larger. A 16 is maybe more like today’s 10, roughly,though so much now depends on the brand and whothey think their market is,also why those catering to young people size smaller for S/M/L.

It's sexist capitalism. Like charging women more for dry cleaning bc their button down shirts are the opposite side of men's which is who the dry cleaning machines are made for. Charging more for long hair cuts though short cuts involve as much or more work.
