That is a well done video. And having it all in one video like that does make it easy to point to/reference.

Thank you for sharing.

Smartmatic still has a case, but there is nothing to say they won't also settle when it comes down to getting a big check or having a long drawn out legal battle.

Within a couple of days Fox's lies will be old news. Hopefully Smartmatic can get the momentum back.

My sarcasm in the original post was a bit too subtle and dry.

That was the point I was intending to make. That McConnell is up to the same tricks he's been doing for decades. Blocking judges under a Democrat President, rushing them through under Republican control.

That would be a fun change, and I'm sure it would drive Republicans crazy.

Just need to get a bunch of Democrats to keep posting it and it would catch on.

A Democrat did manage 34% of the vote last time around, that would be a huge jump to pull it above 50%. But I will certainly donate.

There were 5 other Republicans in her 2022 Primary, but none came anywhere close unfortunately.

Maybe she will give up her seat to be Trump's running mate. Then they will both be out of America's hair for a while with their loss.

Must be a nice feeling. I look forward to not using a platform owned by a far right billionaire.

I still use it for two reasons:

1) Most politicians are still there. That should change in time.

2) I get more interaction/discussion there. I've been struggling with that on Spoutible so far.

I personally think Trump belongs in jail for many things. I'd like to see some Republicans rise up and give their party some dignity in this moment.

Use it as a moment to start to move away from the MAGA movement, to start to rebuild.

Instead it is as expected and all extreme responses.

Not that I expected otherwise, but even Speaker McCarthy has come out to say he will go after the DA.

I haven't seen a single Republican say to let the justice system play out yet.

Hopefully everyone stays peaceful and due process can run its course without interference.

I want to believe you are right about them.

It is that we've seen how far they are willing to go before.

Then there are people like Matt Gaetz that are ready to take over the movement and have been working their way to be next in line because they knew Trump's time was coming to an end.

Absolutely. It is good to see the justice system not back down from intimidation.

And I understand people celebrating.

But it is worth taking the time to note that what is being celebrated is how fragile our Democracy is.

And his followers won't stay quiet. There may be tough days ahead.

So many of the reasons are ridiculous.

Self Defense: A handgun works fine for that.
Hunting: horrible weapon for hunting
Because I Can: lame reason
How it Looks: seriously?
Anger Liberals: Grow up
Scare People: Pathetic

There is no reason good enough that kids need to die.

I couldn't agree more. The right was also clearly about established militias in order to fend off repressive governments.

The meaning has been distorted by right wing courts over the years to give it broader and broader scope that was never intended.

We've ended up in a dark and ugly place.

And now begins the arm the teachers response.

The classic "good guys with guns". Make kids go to school in a fortress.

Why don't other nations need to do that then? And yet they have significantly fewer shootings and fewer fatalities.

Our country has 400 million guns. More guns isn't the an

Fully agree.

Capitalism is a great system for fostering innovation and making products for consumers better and cheaper.

But when it comes to taking care of people, capitalism will never do enough, that is where government is needed to properly use money to best fill the needs of the people.

Story as old as time for America.

When times are going well, the corporations, banks, and the rich bemoan regulation as slowing down their ability to make money.

When times get bad, they demand bailouts to keep their money.

Money is the biggest problem in politics.

I know we can't eliminate hate, but I can't help but try to think of ways we could at least lessen it.

It begins so early too. My oldest daughter first got picked on is preschool. I was floored and couldn't believe it happens so young.

Saddest part is it is learned behavior.

Sadly not surprising. The amount of hateful rhetoric being used in this country is appalling.

Too many have found that hatred leads to their own power and that is all they care about.

Others are misled and believe the hateful lies.

We need more compassion in this country.

Absolutely, all change starts from the local level and builds upward.

Chicago has a very tight mayoral runoff happening right now with exactly such issues at the heart of the election.

I would love to see America increase voting turnout to over 90%.

That is a tough goal, but a great one.
