Thanks! I’m pretty obsessed with this mini world this year. Exciting to see it all coming together.

I’m hoping I can create a waterfall effect from the rock garden; it will be 3 levels, and I could potentially put a water element on top that would make an actual waterfall when it rains.

Haha yes! I took on flower gardening for the first time a few years back, and it’s become a major obsession. I keep going deeper into sub rabbit holes of gardening.

Got super into mini conifers this winter while building fairy homes, and the miniature pathways came into play from there.

I'm literally obsessed!
Spent the day yesterday figuring out the mini patio mix, as the mix I purchased from Two Green Thumbs (the OG mini gardener) is way too expensive for the scale of my project. I think I got it almost perfect.

Pics show my mixes with the "control" samples in sm containers.

Holy shit.

I’ve been feeling so defeated lately in so many areas of life. Going to the grocery store for one bag of food is equivalent to what a weekend on the town once was. It’s hard not have anxiety about it, and there’s so many people that are in tougher situations than I am.

Yeah. That does sound arduous.

Mostly I don’t want to dig things up. But bc dahlias are native to New Mexico they despise wet, and never come back after the winter for me so I figured I’d give it a shot rather than keep spending money on new plants every year. I’m pretty obsessed w dahlias lol.

This was my first time overwintering anything. The dig up and storage was wayyyy easier than I expected honestly.

My geranium didn’t make it but all the dahlias did!

What does the cinnamon do?

Interesting. My bf was upstairs and is shocked that I didn't "feel" the shaking lol.

I just learned that east and west coast earthquakes travel differently. The east coast rock is more homogenous, so travels further than in the complexity of the terrain out west. I'm pretty fascinated by this.

Heard. Like I was aware the things in the house were shaking, but I didn’t feel like I was shaking.

lmao...totally agree!

Hard to say if it was actually pieced together for a real hallway, or the borders were the only thing left of the whole piece that was in any kind of salvageable condition and someone just really wanted to save them.

It’s a field I can never stop learning in!

Between design, dyes, fibers, structures, weave types, uses, and culture; there are so many histories to unravel within each weaving area.

When I first became interested in antique carpets I HATED Chinese Deco rugs. Now I find them incredibly appealing. Idk if I have a space I’m bold enough to use one in, but I’m obsessed with their colorful and graphic nature, and all the fun gradients in color 😍.

Sometimes it’s infuriating bc they’ll be like boil for 4-5 min, and you’re like yeah we’ll just see about that, and then it’s 12 min lol.
