You know, this is a really great point about democracy. And one people miss far too much - and too conveniently!

Lastly, let me state that it's totally abhorrent that you have painted us bad players intending to damage your site, rather than people looking for a safe place to be.

A place that you promised us, and then pulled away.

A place you have instead gifted to only a specific few.

At the absolute least, you have an incredibly poor grasp of the issues here.

At worst you are not just specifically cutting us out of the site, but also encouraging harassment and abuse of us by a huge group of people who support you wholeheartedly and are willing to dogpile marginalised ppl.

It's clear the ppl whose input you sought on these issues was a very specific group.

The same group who're now doing everything in their power to shut down debate & discussion and shame & harrass people, cross platform, into silence.

In pursuit of having a non toxic site, obvs.

You've given us no lines to paint within to "abide by guidelines" - so no, you haven't made a space where SW's, OR the LGBT/kink/other communities with similar needs can be, even setting aside the need to promote SW.

Content "intended to arouse" is the most dangerously vague policy possible!

I think it could absolutely work so that those posting sexual content can, for example, mark their profiles as such... And others can check no to viewing such content.

Besides that there are also tools possible to blur sexual images, or hide a post below a content note that unfurls on clicking.

This is where @cbouzy could come in with the programming to add content warnings or ways to flag content or accounts as NSFW so it is automatically not shown to someone who tells spoutible they do not want to see it. (for example)

There's no reason it can't be here AND not be in your face.

I also pre registered. But never got asked this. So the *earlier* crowd got a say on something that removes entire and marginalised groups. Not *all* of us.

Thanks for that info! I guess a lot of us just missed that earlier interaction.

Which... You know... Says something about who DID get the right of reply on the issue.

I think my most salient question would be this. At what point in the process were people asked? When? Who was part of that group demographic wise? Does it reflect the larger group of people looking to find a safe place away from Twitter, or just those who originally followed you?

It's interesting I never got a notification for a quote that caused a spiral of nastiness on my own thread.

It's interesting no one I know was asked about adult content here though we signed up early.

It's interesting so many comments in fact AREN'T anti adult content, yet this is your base.

Perhaps it's worth having a think about what you want to build here. Because you want to get rid of twitter and it's culture... But piling on someone for daring to challenge the status quo about this site? Being angry that someone says everything isn't perfect? That's *exactly* like twitter.

It says a lot to me that this feels like a place I can't speak my mind about things I'm not happy with, unless I am doing it WITH the grain here. 🤷🏻‍♀️

But it's not my job to teach anyone.

I literally have hundreds of disabled friends with myriad disabilities and needs.

And with my memory issues & my brain on fire tonight, I am sitting here looking at people demanding I list things we need like they don't exist & I can't even think of the specifics of why it isn't working for ME.

(and then ofc the system can deal with the men posting such things purposefully to get around that consent and make people see things they don't want to see. I *hate* on twitter how men will post sexual things in trending Hashtags, for instance)

And that's why we need something like a proper content warning system or a real way for content makers to flag it as NSFW, so filters can filter it away, or some such thing.

Consensual viewing isn't something sex workers will have an issue with.

Twitter should always have added in an official way to content warn material actually. I purposefully engage in the kink section of twitter and also have many sex worker friends, and even I would prefer it not to hit me unexpectedly in the face when jsut browsing.
