thread 3 Threaded Spouts
In case you missed it: Testeria: (noun). The state of men being worked up over women discussing or pointing out misogyny.

adj: "testerical"

"The testerical men flooded social media to decry women preferring to take their chances with a bear in the woods rather than a strange man."

Doggo decided that a 5:15 AM wake up call was a good idea.

On a Saturday.

After a very tiring week.

Happy, Diva is not.

2nd to last song that got me up and going today. It was a very diverse group of artists/songs, but somehow it worked which is what I love about 🎶

Saw Zep at the now defunct Kingdome way the fuck back in the day. So glad SM wasn't around then as we'd still be in trouble, lol. #MusicMemories

Good morning all. I’ve been hanging around my RL and missed a lot going here. Now I’m feeling lost, alone and irrelevant here. Which pushes me away more. But here’s a picture from a recent walk.

Anyone else drawn to benches and picnic tables in parks?

This is the coolest thing I've read this week. Primates are fuckin fascinating. All animals are but the great apes are our not so distant cousins so what they are discovered to do woll always be interesting.

When we moved here, my MIL's clematis vine was not doing well at all. Moved it to a different spot and I think she likes her new home. #flowers

All of this. I hate the neckbeard, dudebro, misogynistic, racist ass fans who have infiltrated the fandom and poisoned so many wells. It's never going to stop me from being a full blown, lifelong Trekkie, but I've stepped almost completely back from the fandom. I don't need that foolishness.

A large chunk of my moral compass comes from Star Trek TOS, due to its focus on fairness, tolerance, and celebrating diversity. Anyone who thinks these things aren't essential parts of Star Trek's DNA are just there for the shooting and explosions, and they're invited to get over themselves 👍

Finally saw my first hummingbird today. I know they are always here by the 15th of April. I've not been as observant as I need to be.

No form of sexual abuse is a punchline.

Including incest.

Where there is no escaping your abuser. I will never understand why so many people (men) think it's funny or a joke.

Please do not attempt to explain it to me.

As an Asian American, I am happy to announce that the month of May is dedicated to people like me.

I shall now share the same thing I did last year: the episode of Last Week Tonight during the COVID-19 pandemic in which John Oliver does an informative talk about Asian Americans. I feel seen. 👇🙂

Brian Tyler Cohen:

Samuel Alito is 74. Clarence Thomas is 75. Roberts and Sotomayor are 69. The next president may very well nominate replacements for multiple (if not all!) of these justices. If Trump is president, the Supreme Court is gone for the rest of our lifetimes.

My dad passed away September of last year. He always loved dandelions - their bright yellow beauty - the sign of a healthy landscape - their defiance of man’s attempt at dominating nature.

He’s not here to see them this spring. But they still make me happy :)
