I'm impressed; you're really jumping in. In case useful: Friedman's columns get at the current situation & how Iran & Arab countries play in - likely too recent and not the focus of the books. Atlantic articles get at how current US narratives connect (or not). Also good CNN's Amanpour's interviews

I'd be curious about what books, if you're willing to share. Ok in DM if that's more comfortable.

I appreciate your question. Like lots of topics, I'd say start w/ Wikipedia. Also NYT's Thomas Friedman columns since Oct, The Atlantic on the war & antisemitism, Haaretz for self-critical Israelis' views. Even with pay walls, email gets a few free articles. Does that help? #PeaceNeedsDialogue

Now I’m in tears.
What an awful delay.
Johnson’s rationales today… ugh… not a CYA moment.

Hmm, no grazers here except for squirrels and rabbits that eat by basil plants, but not the cilantro 😉. A ground cover that could keep mice away gets extra points. Thanks for the info!

@canyonsfan I appreciate your thread. Referencing Foer's Golden Age article? In case it's useful, I took it as relative to the rest of history. Antisemitism has been constant for me, something to manage, shouldn't have to, but usually manageable. Till now. Foer's along w/ Dara Horn's article helped.

I agree. The rest of the article was worthwhile despite the focus on polls.

Very true. And yet, they've given me the excuse of being a "regional newspaper" for their erratic coverage of Boston. Another weak excuse.

I gave up on the Globe a few times over the years, then resubscribed, despite focusing on politics over policy. But I gave up last year. Their Boston coverage is shallow, impatient, goes for clicks, seems unaware of their own racism.
Agree about tv news.

Ex: In 1 hour collecting signatures for a progressive ballot question last summer, 3 women who all worked in health care couldn't sign since they hadn't changed voter registrations yet. They'd all recently moved to MA from TX or AL. Keeps happening.

What an important book; was one of our activist community's reads during the pandemic. Looking forward to a book group use of @Spoutible .

And ask him about his mother's menstrual cycle as she approached menopause. As a man and governor, surely he should have a say over all phases.

Lots of unintended pregnancies among many issues during pre-menopause irregular cycles, apparently needing his oversight.

I see lots of attention on pipe bombs (yes, I care about those too), but for those of us in Ayanna Pressley's area or appreciate her from wherever, seriously, who disabled her office's panic button?! It worked and was needed previously; disabled that week.
