I also mask with an N95 in every store or other indoor place where humans are breathing. No one has bothered me, but I am ready with my words if they dare to. LOL

Not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but when I go thru my timeline I see the same spouts over and over echoed by a lot of people. It gets pretty boring to see so many things repeated. I'd prefer an algorithm that shows more different spouts.

One of the main things I look for in an author of novels is the ability to construct a really fabulous sentence. The kind of sentence that makes you stop, reread it, gaze off into space and wonder about it for a while. The kind that gives insight the way a punchline makes a joke.

Perhaps the best actors identify as Dems because to be a good actor you have to have empathy. That excludes Repubs.

Since I am retired it is easy to ease into the time changes. We do it by first moving lunch by 30 minutes for a couple days. Then the full hour. After that it seems normal. There is a debate about whether locking in on DST or Standard - my idea is to split the diff. Move it by 1/2 hr and lock.

It's simply misogyny that has been programmed into every one of us from our first perceptions of the world. Unless you consciously root it out of your thoughts, it will put a veil over every view you have of women and of men. A veil that discounts women & elevates men.

I just did it from inside the house but I don't know if it would work better to also do the outside. It's so rainy here it would just get wet and gooey.

All good except the grey-beige color. LOL If it had been up to me having to choose some non-obtrusive color I would have chosen pearl with a bit of opalescence.

I had the same problem for several years and finally overcame those hoards by squirting boric acid powder into every crevice I could find in the woodwork - especially between the glass and the window frame. So far so good - several years out.

I really wish we would have gone with the naming conventions of Iceland. Erik has a son: Leif Erikson. Ingrid has a daughter: Jill Ingridsdottir. No patriarchy involved and one can trace their inheritance way back.

That's great. But also please (and notice how polite I am trying to be) recognize your privilege in being raised as a male instead of a female. Females are raised from infancy to appear to be polite no matter what is being done to them or to anyone else. This is upon fear of being maimed or killed.

However the hospitalization trough between peaks for people over 70 has not declined. It is still as high as the first few months of the pandemic. It did go lower between some of the earlier peaks (delta) but now it is staying relatively high.

I have been wearing an N95 in public for a long time. Will continue. Also not going much of anywhere. I am abundantly privileged but realize so many are not able to afford quality masks and avoid dangerous encounters, so for society, I am saddened.

How about instead of panicking, I just lose a little more respect for them every time they do something outrageous? One question, though, how far into negative numbers can I go?

Yeah I use 1.8 instead of the 4/9 or 5/9 I was taught. Anyway, if I am traveling and the news says it's X degrees, with my few memorized factors I can tell how to dress. Cooler or warmer than room temp? Also working in dif hospitals using F or C for fevers, the 40=104 was very helpful.

I have memorized a few temp conversions to help my brain understand. Of course 0C = 32F.
4C = 40F(approx). 22C = 72F (approx). 40C = 104 F.

Here in Oregon I have to figure in the temperature, the wind, how sunny/cloudy to determine how to dress for my daily walk. Then I could really use someone following behind me with wardrobe changes since by the time I'm done, the weather will have become totally different from when I started.

Magnesium citrate may be hard on the intestines for some people - causing diarrhea or gas. I use magnesium bisglycinate which is more gentle on the gut. And while benedryl may knock you out, it can leave people groggy in the morning. Also if taken regularly the sedative effect tends to wear off.
