This was the official response to someone qualified pointing out that the Terms of Service lack clarity in ways that could potentially affect a lot of writers and artists, and offering to help make them clear. This is ridiculous.

I have absolutely no problem with the no adult content rules, the rules could be clarified maybe, but I also don't think a true 'twitter-killer' will emerge until one allows the adult workers to have a place too, they have fans who will follow, you see... lots of them...

One thing I've learned about interacting with customers in my years in software development since I started in 1994... If a customer, internal or external, says "This is unclear to me. I have these specific questions."

I didn't put it in my bio (beyond pronouns), but it took until I was in my 4th decade to realise I was non binary. I often don't think my gender is important, but today it is. Creating spaces where everyone is welcome is important to me, and a backlash from asking for clarity makes me feel unsafe.

For a site founded to be a "less toxic" social media alternative, I'm already seeing a lot of "if you don't like it leave" directed at lgbtq+ folks simply asking questions. That's not how you build a real, lasting community. My $.02
