Poor Things was such an amazing film. Went to see it with my kids. We all loved it, especially my 16-year-old. When I mentioned, "You might like The Favorite. The same guy directed it," they said, "Hang on....a MAN made this movie?" I was like, "Yeah, some men actually get it."

My kid's school went into lockdown today. Not a drill. They texted me from hiding. All I could do was text back how much I love them.
After a while they were released. Went back to math, but couldn't focus (duh!) My heart is still stopped.

It's called the Chaos Caucus for a reason. It's a brand of Republicanism that was honed by Newt Gingrich, years before Trump. Trump just made chaos, criminality and uselessness more acceptable to a wider debauched demographic.

Went for a walk & saw the neighbor talking to the cat on her lawn. She was so animated & earnest in her conversation I'm sure she believed that frigging cat could actually understand her. I just shook my head & went home. When I got there I told my dog all about it & we laughed & laughed.
