My favorite thing so far about "Ad Astra per Aspera" so far is that people are interpreting the episode in different ways for themselves, but they are all positive.

The responses to the concerns about Spoutible’s content policy are evenly split between “OBVIOUSLY romance authors aren’t in violation, quit being hysterical” and “We don’t want smut-peddlers here, get your own app!” The policy is so vague even its defenders can’t agree on what it means.

Transphobia is exhausting, and is rooted in the same system that hates women. If you say you care about the rights of women and girls, you also have to care about trans and non-binary folk. Just like you can’t fight for the rights of Black people without including Black trans people.

If you build a fortress and invite the townspeople in, and some of them point out that there are some noticeable gaps in the walls, it's probably better to fix the walls rather than insist the walls are fine, the people who see gaps are trolls, and they should go back outside.

@cbouzy - when you finally come up for air, this is a social justice issue that needs some attention. Sexworkers have rights, and most places won't even allow them to exist if they talk about their lives. And there are organized groups of incels dedicated to deplatforming them everywhere.
