I’m only suggesting that we be sure that Biden/Harris can win. And I don’t want Harris to get Hillaryed.

Tricia, I was talking to your head and you answered with your heart. You don’t have to call me names; just tell me why you think I’m wrong and why you think a Biden Harris ticket can win in today’s political atmosphere. Sorry for the disjointed spouts; I don’t know how to thread.

As for ageism, at 73, I understand that at some point it is time to get out of the way and let the ones coming up behind us take over. They are going to have to live with decisions we are making and have made. We won’t.

and he was calm and rational after the chaos of the Trump years. Will voters remember how how chaotic it was? And will blue voters in red districts have a voice in gerrymandered districts? I’m terrified that the Dems will lose because it will be much worse this time around.

There is a difference between between doing a great job and being able to win an election these days. I totally agree that Biden and Harris are doing a great job and I would be very happy for them to do 4 more years. Biden was the perfect choice in 2020 because he had a lot of experience.

I agree with all of you that Biden is doing a great job. And it is hard to switch after the first term. But Steve Schmidt is absolutely right that we can’t lose in 2024 or the country will fall. Harris doesn’t seem to be popular and could easily be Hillaryed. These are days when traditional

Air popped popcorn is a fine choice for those who have dietary restrictions (or don’t know how to cook). At least they are eating popcorn.

I eat popcorn for dinner whenever possible. I say that not to challenge your crown, but to add some perspective. I’ve also been known to go to the movies for the popcorn. I no longer eat dairy products but I find olive oil and home-cooked popcorn to be delicious and I don’t miss butter or that

I agree that he’s doing a great job and we really needed him in 2020 to restore some sanity. And yes, he knows tons. But there are many younger Democrats that will learn. The issue is who is electable in 2024? I do think that another issue is how many more years does Biden have?

But Steve Schmidt isn’t quarreling with the job Biden is doing. He is positing that Biden isn’t perceived as doing a good job and will have a hard time beating Trump if that is the race. And as a 73 year-old-woman I firmly believe that it is time for older Democrats in power to step aside.
