💜 This happens so much. Once, I was walking home from the bus stop. A guy followed me, asking innocent questions that took a turn like that. I ducked into the first brightly lit building, pretending to unlock a random door. He left but then I had to run 2 blocks to my apartment. It's been 40 years.

My daughter was 17 working at a hardware store and a mid 20’s coworker did this creepy thing where he used a tape measure to see how tall she was and said “We would make tall babies.” She reported him. Luckily the rest of the men saw her like a daughter and shut that down. He eventually got fired.

I was a road warrior for 6 yrs, starting in my late 20s. Truck/travel stops were the worst. At a young age, it's so intimidating. You change your appearance - clothes, hair, makeup - to stem the unwanted attention. It hardens your demeanor on the outside. Don't let it change what's inside.
