Medically, if you don't sleep up to 6–8 hours a day, your risk of heart attack, and hypertension increases.

No matter what you're going through, please sleep.

Studies have shown that people who sleep for about 6 to 8 hours daily are likely to live longer than people who sleep for fewer hours.
Another reason to get good sleep and ignore motivational speakers who push the agenda that sleep is for the lazy

When I was younger and chasing the corp ladder I believed all the hype about those at the top until I realized they had a secret elevator to hide they were never there. (They were either sleeping or playing golf while I was working sleepless.)

There are people who push that sleep is for lazy people? That’s crazy. Literally, every medical professional advocates that sleep is integral to good health. This isn’t even a close call. Watch out for those who say super dumb things to push their own agenda.

Live in a car-lite area, cut your commute via WFH or a local workplace, and you typically get an hour or more back for better than free!

If I get less than 6 hours of sleep I get physically ill and start vomiting. This was never the case before for me prior to hitting my 40s. Now I make sure I get a solid 8-9 hours.

Good solid sleep is so vital. Your body may make it harder as you age, and you may feel like to can function with less.. but try to get the solid 6+ and take a nap some days - it's just good for the soul..better rested folks work better and faster.
