As a Jew, I was raised to maintain an instinctive vigilance, as if at any moment, the political winds could shift slightly and the purges, pogroms, and ovens would all come roaring back, while mobs cheered. No matter where your Jewish friends are politically, they're feeling that primordial terror.

The Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) is making available FREE electronic copies of the various books banned in America. As new books are banned in each state, the book is added to the Library. The hope is that Americans will form local book clubs to discuss the books #BannedBooks

I should elaborate on this. Watch out for candidates running for local election on the basis of "declining academic performance", "curriculum transparency", and "parental rights" in schools. These all sound nice in a vacuum, but they are talking points.
