Well done, Colorado. Here in California, my nephew and his wife just had a baby, and they are both receiving six weeks of paid parental leave. They are thrilled to have time to bond with their child.

Field of Dreams is better than Shoeless Joe. The brothers device, Ray’s character, Salinger - actually, those arguably worked in the much darker novel but would have made the film insufferably bleak. (I’ll admit bias, since director Phil Alden Robinson was a good friend for years.)

Yes, media must be monitored carefully. There are gems among the trash and international voices are crucial, but far too much of MSM kowtowed to this person, helping him gain importance he never had or earned. I gave old-school conservatives a hearing. They are gone, leaving GQP’s in charge. Enough!

My (recently retired) teacher sister, with three children of her own in public schools during much of her career, spent hundreds of dollars every year so that every child in her class had what they needed to succeed. This district was quite well off! Lord help the underfunded districts.

My mother, sisters, nieces, multiple friends traveled while pregnant. They were visiting family & friends, vacationing, on business trips. Some were alone, others with friends, family, husbands, partners. Every pregnant person is in danger of harassment for daring not to go into confinement!

I embarrassed to say that I did not know what #AltText was, and I've been a volunteer for an inclusion group for twenty years! As soon as I saw it defined here, I started using it on all of my photo spouts and on every place I see that option. I'll be happy to mention it more in my spouts.

Thanks, it was a highlight of my life. All it took was a dozen crazy high school and college friends who were Astaire fans, a rough idea of where he lived and the Christmas season to show up as carolers. LONG story, many more famous names involved, including the great Tony Bennett (RIP).
