That can be confusing when the borders are malleable? Maybe depending on the mountain ranges/lakes/natural bodies? Here, we have the Great Dividing Range that makes a natural difference - especially socio-economically. You live between the range and coast, you're fine. Behind it inland, not so.

😂 No Jess not the same. Here we are more likely to sit you in front of the television than a bear, granted, that can be pretty terrifying too.

It may be, as ocean temps continue to rise. But eastern Pacific low pressure systems tend to travel west due to high pressure systems over the western US coast, so this was a concatenation of unusual events.

The cyclone was a non-event really. Less severe than some of the winter storms we had last winter. But I think it has dumped a ton of rain in other places, and CA is not good at handling rain.

We had so much wind in the desert last time we went bare camping You would’ve thought we were in the Himalayas.🤭 I agree with you about the stars, though nothing better! The Hubs is an amateur astronomer, and he always makes everything so interesting☺️

This wine made me think of holiday teas – vanilla and cinnamon – but shares aromas with a cedar linen chest. The taste evokes black cherries, black licorice, and black olives. Its oak aging is subtle. Long pleasant finish and soft tannins. 🤩

That's very fancy with the heated bathrooms! I can name only one or two public showers here that provide warm/hot showers. Everything else is cold!

I would never, ever venture inside a pit toilet during summer. No air fresheners here. Very basic. Shovel is a better option.

What's the toilet situation?

Because we have drop down toilets at our camping grounds (if any). Don't go in summer because the flies are aplenty @bron1us will run screaming! And always bring your loo roll.
