Yep. We know this as well.
They do need to get off the backs of my (universal) colleagues, as they've undergone some nasty things at MoL types (Having the police called on you for doing your blasted job is just one example).

I'm certainly not surprised by these findings. Forwarded the IHE article to my Staff Council Subcommittee head, btw...

I guess we'll see what happens... I did say I wanted this experience with governance, and these meetings are relatively infrequent.

From a couple of friends and colleagues. I'm also a little cleaner with my language on the Professional account. (Though F-bombs a plenty on the primary one ;) ).

I see.
I also see it as the continued evisceration of public education in general, espoused by state legislatures like WV's, though, as we both know, not unique to WV.

Indeed. I have hope for MPOW's new administration. There are a lot of entrenched attitudes, tho. It'll take lots of folks pulling at the threads of this at most institutions.

Our interim greenlighted our first-ever staff council (I was just elected to it).

The new president is all for it.

I'm actually glad they come far from just fashion/makeup tips and "how to get and keep your crush" article.

Don't snooze on these lifestyle sites. Sometimes their news divisions are doing harder hitting stuff than MSM. (I think Buzzfeed recently had to let go some of their news division).

The back of my mind is thinking about how the publish-or-perish paradigm/status quo harms plenty of folks, especially BBIMP women and related marginalized intersections.

Also, the dolts who'll go "See? See?"
