Blue Beetle (2023)
A very conventional, plot-by-numbers comic book film that is redeemed by a likeable lead performance and an entertaining cast of supporting players. In fact the film is at its best when it's not involved in the super-hero element. Not a misfire, but it should've been bolder.

I remember one summer my older brothers, both teenagers, worked at McDonald’s and at end of one of their shifts they brought home boxes of frozen patties, hash browns, Salisbury steaks, and Canadian bacon.
