After organs and tissues are harvested for others to use, I won't be needing them, the remaining parts can be cremated. If I were to have an epitaph it might be a Grateful Dead quote (seems appropriate) 'What a long strange trip it's been."

One show I used to love and saw every episode from 2006 until about a year ago, has been having longer hiatuses, shorter seasons, and changing streaming platforms so even the old shows I "bought" on former platforms are no longer available... Yes, I'm over it

Thank you. This thread was enlightening. I post occasionally, but I enjoy reading and following other's conversations. I don't spend a great deal of time on social media, catching a few minutes here and there. So I gather that it's helpful to adjust ones expectations according to ones engagement.

Thank you. It took a while search words too find the right ones. J was particularly challenging. It took some judicious evaluation. 😁

Of course not. But if someone is going to claim to follow Jesus they are quite free to let that shape their choices and ethics. The point is that Jesus followers don't have the right to insist that people who don't choose to follow Jesus must also follow their choices and ethics.

Please forgive me. I did not mean to be critical of your comment, just saw it as a good opportunity to offer some thoughts of my own, something that has been marinating in my thoughts for a while.

IMHO, people like discord, not necessarily the site but the disagreement and negative energy it creates. And people aren't going to get away with a lot of trash on Spoutible, which means it's appeal will have some limitation. And that is why I'm here!

What a super idea! My son had tons of Legos a couple decades ago. Unfortunately we don't have them anymore or I would absolutely pass them along!

I remember listening to this and feeling like I was soaring, sometimes a bird over the ocean, sometimes a sail boat on the water, but always moving smoothly and effortlessly. Wonderful feeling

Everytime I would drive home from college I'd have my John Denver 8-track (mid 1970's) going full volume and my friend Eleanor and I would be singing this songs at full voice. Always loved John Denver

My work is as presbyterian minister and hospice chaplain. My passions include choral singing, piano, fountain pens. I'm growing in awareness of racial justice and my participation in white supremacy. "When you know better, do better." In April I saw a tweet by @Joyannreid that brought me here. ♥️💜

Hey Susan. I'm glad you are getting good help as you mend. I'm also in the Jax, FL, area and am familiar with the healthcare community, and it sounds like you are at one of the better facilities. I would love to know more about your painting!

@Margaux , it just occurred to me that the poem you shared was written by another. Would I be correct in assuming the watercolor of the woman wrapping the earth in her arms is your creation?

I am so sorry for the pain you are feeling right now... I gravitate to the phrase "be kind." I've not always lived it, but aspire to it. The way you expressed that sentiment touches me. I live in Florida and see so much pain included by those in power. "Be kind to everyone."

Is it wrong to say that the state is complicated in these murders? One person pulled the trigger but the political system failed to protect innocent people from unnecessary gun violence. The person who pulled the trigger was failed by the stated and now faces charges that could have been avoided.
