Given DNA and our evolutionary genetic proximity to apes, it is a next-level arrogance for a buncha talking monkeys to presume She has singled our existence out for special treatment and attentions.
I mean… among the 200 billion trillion other stars.
We make our stand here, together.

Been thinking about whether to respond, or not, all day
So here goes.
I have no thoughts because I don’t believe there is/are a god/s.
Except I think “god” can refer to what we don’t know yet.
I think of “god” about as often as I think of unicorns or leprechauns.

When I was in 3rd grade, my dad saved a woman's life. She had fallen asleep behind the wheel and a horrible accident occurred. He risked his life to pull her from her burning car, despite his own injuries. When she woke in the hospital, she thanked God for saving her. So I guess my dad was God.

Long ago (over 30 yrs) saw a bumper sticker “god is coming & she’s pissed”. Still remember the high five & laughter with the friend I was with. I remember the moment because of line “cause I’m in my way to see her” ❤️🌀🤘🏻

Let’s not confuse god with organized religion.
We continue to hold hope that our grown child, their family.. lots of kids- leave this place.
We did what we could. Now we hold hope and wait.

The best case scenario for any god is the one where god creates the universe, then gets bored and leaves it.

Any god that creates life for the purpose of service / worship is necessarily evil.

An easy and simplistic answer to a deeply thought-provoking question that deserves more compassion, consideration, and contemplation - in other words, an excuse to do none of the above

I'm a theologian, of the heterodox variety, and believe that whatever God is, that Hod wants humans to live out the golden rule and love of neighbor. That's why I wrote my book Go Golden.

*laughs in pagan* Which one? More seriously, I see the divine in general as an ineffable consciousness that has a symbiotic relationship with human consciousness which be manipulated on both sides for the benefit and detriment of either. The divine is usually wins. More experience.

My natural inclination is to ask you for YOUR thoughts about God.

That, or I'd ask you to give me a starting point. What aspect of God is on your mind? What topic/question would you want me to address?

As a child I read the bible, I had a lot of questions and thought it was a terrible fantasy book. Because people have such fear of the unknown they always have to make stuff up to explain things. Every culture does it. This time, the grifters saw an in and took it and ran with it.

I have come to the conclusion that what some call god is simply the origin of all energy/lifeforce.

Popular culture's concept of god is the creation of men with agendas designed to control & I've decided I'm rejecting that ish.
