I thought we’d reached that mark during Obama’s presidency.

This was, according to Snopes, originally posted from a satire/parody account, so not real (too bad).

Nope. Since he’s in the lead, every other candidate would hammer him with his numerous traitorous crimes during the debate. He’d be dumb to put himself out there. You remember his tactic of talking continuously when his opponent was taking their turn to speak? It wouldn’t work there.

Better me than my wife. Besides the pain, my body mostly ignores wasp stings. My wife swells up like a balloon. This seems to be a bad year for wasps (in WA), but I've only been here 2 years, so maybe this is normal. The ground nests are like freaking land mines.

We have a sheet listing things to grab based on how much notice we have, starting at zero, then 15 minutes, an hour, a day. Zero warning means you’re not going to bother with the list, of course, but just creating the list helps you remember certain things.

We used Sunergy who seemed to know what they were doing. We haven’t had any issues yet. System is only 1 yr old, though. It’s good to check Yelp when you’re shopping for a system.

We have a RAV4 Prime hybrid, with a 42 mile electric range, which covers 95% of our driving. It came with a slow-charge 120VAC cord and we paid $200 for a 240VAC cable (4 hour chg). We also got 12kW solar panels ($21K) for the house, which powers the car and house. Electric costs us ~ $100/yr.

Thanks. I just read your entry. You should get bonus points for originality! Hard to pull off a choose-your-own-adventure with a limit of 20 entries. And here I was flustered because I couldn’t figure out how to do italics. No idea how you managed all those weird characters.

I have a couple other writers as beta readers, so we just swap material as we write it. Barter system. Joining a local writing group might help too, but I haven’t tried that yet.

I never understood “writer lifts” on Twitter; sure, you’re networking with 2000 other writers, but they’re primarily interested in selling their own books, not buying yours. It just clutters your feed.

And even then, with the readers voting, the results could just be a matter of “who has the most friends” rather than who has the best entry, unless they use something like weighted voting.

Not knowing what state you're in, I'm not sure what non-native invasive species you have in mind. When I was in CA, it was mustard, huge beautiful fields of wild mustard, which I understood to be non-native. Now I'm in WA, and it's huge, beautiful fields of Scotch Broom. It's hard to hate it.

Thanks! It's a spin-off from a book I started to write many years ago. Might rewrite this into a regular story.
