It's super interesting that Meta would do that in the first place, which is a good reason why you shouldn't trust them so easily. But I'll note here that Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, said they're going to work on a fix for that.

I feel that. I've been invested in it for so long, I don't fully remember what life is like without it. But I know my brain sorely needs rewiring. That's for sure.

That's the best part. Hopefully you find your tribe, too. It's nice to see folks with common interests. That's a big reason it's so difficult giving up the bird app.

Raskin has considerable power in his current role. And he’s certainly needed there. There are also some talented people who are eyeballing Cardin’s Senate seat. Will Jawando, the Montgomery County councilor, and Angela Alsobrooks, from PG County. They would provide some much needed diversity.

It’s ok. Not everyone has a plan for college and going to figure things out has proved to be expensive and sometimes wasteful.

My thoughts exactly. There are a few folks who committed egregious acts on air and were named in court docs. Tucker is just one of them.

I’m not familiar with his backstory, but he was certainly shining tonight. Couldn’t miss at one point. And I think he was perfect from the FT line. Just a standout performance to kick off the playoffs.

Yes, yes, yes. Especially annoying if I’m trying to read through a text screenshot and it refreshes before I finish.

Certainly in the vector of possibilities. But that’s entirely dependent on Twitter still being influential. There’s a tipping point we’re approaching where certain constituencies of Twitter (including folks here) are departing the platform. It’s not looking good for an influence campaign.

That’s interesting because I was just thinking about the few people on the planet that could check him, specifically the people who own his debt. Not sure how’d they feel about that. If you funded the Twitter acquisition, you either like setting money on fire or you have other goals.

Same. But I think the rush to judgment and public shaming that happens with little to no info is the interesting/problematic aspect of all of this. There are quite a few people who value and seek out public mobbing. Personally, I'm fascinated by that mentality (in a clinical sort of way).

Fed interest rate hikes made the bond market unattractive for banks, especially for smaller, regional, and niche banks. So how does SVB still determine that 10-year bonds make sense?

I totally get that. I think I pushed through to try it because I was desperate for a Twitter alternative. But the process to start, including the overwhelming number of instances to choose from, was just awful.
