Having worked in retail much of my working life, I have first hand experience at how retail abuses employees. When I started it was possible to have a full time job in retail with regular "office" hours. Now hours are all over the place & it's impossible to socialize, let alone keep up with expenses

I can give you a hint. I worked at Zehrs in St. Thomas. They closed Zehrs. Let the staff go. Then negotiated a contract with the union that would see no raises for unionized staff for the first three years of operation of the new Real Canadian Superstore. Everyone started at bottom wage.

AI and how capitalist corporations will use it needs to be under investigation.

Unfortunately this doesn't address the huge size of so many corporations today. Hopefully it will lead to further investigations into the monopolization of power by the big name companies and their eventual dissolution.

Too bad they weren't broken up sooner. Their recent aquisition of Activision Blizzard King made them bigger & likely have an negative impact on the gaming industry.

There are too many mega-corporations trying to run the world & they have the power to do it, too.
Who does government listen to first?

Is it vindictive though? Look at the mess they've given not only the U.S., but the world. There's got to be some kind of accountability.

Looking forward to your results. About 40 years ago, I learned to spin and did some dyeing as part of my explorations into all things wool and natural fibers. I only used synthetic dyes, but had lots of fun with the process and spun most of the yarn, some of which I still have.

Over 50 years (since I was made aware @15), I've struggled to understand why the hell we're doing this to ourselves & the planet for the sake of profit. I haven't learned to give up yet, so all I can do is live the life in front of me & focus on my efforts to make a difference here.

Years ago, I read The Final Empire by Wm. H. Kotke and it has stuck with me ever since. It's the reason I took a permaclture course. We're experiencing environmental & financial collapse in parallel on a planetary scale that he predicted by looking at Bangladesh, etc.

Labelling AI generated content as such is part of the responsibility of media (their licenses should depend on it) in fulfilling their role of informing the public. We want a truthfully informed public, not a secretively manipulated one.

Privatization of any publicly owned service should never have happened. Price of hydro has skyrocketed in Ontario because of privatization that was started under Conservatives * completed by Liberals. Our public services, institutions should be protected for Canadians against all future politicians.

No thanks. I'm happy FauxNews isn't on the list. We don't need to hear 'both sides' of every story because sometimes there's more than two sides and other times, the other side isn't even worth hearing.
