I started taking Lexapro last year.

The other day I realized that I can’t remember the last time I had a suicidal ideation.

Living with untreated anxiety is no joke.

"The Justice Department warned Texas in a letter last week that the state had until Monday to commit to removing the barrier or face a lawsuit."

FAFO.
My prediction is that even a Republican judge will order the immediate removal of Abbott's trash from the river.

#Desantis : Slavery. It's like an unpaid internship.

An unpaid internship which no white person ever signed up for and black people would die trying to escape from, but sure.

I work in the service industry. I am also IT for the service industry.

You are an a$$hole that has probably never worked in the service industry.

The employee working for tips has no choice about what’s printed on the receipt.

Just like they have no choice in the a$$hole they have as customers.

That's cruel. I know it's not the same everywhere, but in the States servers rely on tips to get by. 20% is standard, BTW.

So let me get this straight...if you receive excellent service, but your bill recommends a 15% tip, you're not tipping at all? You're going to punish the server for something they have no control over?

That would be fine if the employer was forced to pay the server. They don't. They never have.

And the standard tip for okay service is 20%. That's a starting point. For great service, I tip 30 because been there.

I am all for #NoTipping AND a living minimum wage. That's about $23/hour ish.

I tip 15 percent at a restaurant only when I’m traveling for business. I don’t need the admin in my ear when I submit my expense account.

I make damn sure to bring cash to total up to a 20 to 25 percent tip.

It doesn't take a lot for me to deem someone an obnoxious asshole. Punishing workers for their bosses' decisions, for example.

So you punish an employee for what the restaurant does? You know the owner of the restaurant doesn't care if you stiff your server, so I don't know what point you are going for

If the tipping requirement is a place for you to draw the line, boycott the establishment and tell them why. Take a stand for livable wages for waitstaff. Don't punish workers because the owner is using customers to subsidize wage expenses.

When I waited on tables in college 30 years ago my hourly wage was $2.13. Today the hourly wage in many states is still $2.13. Also, most of the time that was taxed out so my pacheck was literally made out for $0.00. Don't take it out on the servers if management is greedy and won't pay them.

Manually entering zero vs choosing to tip less than the suggested % is just vindictive bs. If it was a mandatory tip you might get more traction, but as many have pointed out, you’re penalizing actual people for a managerial or tech issue. Recommended means you get to choose. Zero is just poor form.

I don't penalize the server if I don't like the taste of the food or I think the food is overpriced.

No tip? Because you’re offended at checkout defaults? It takes just as much effort to key in 15% or $ amount as it does to chose ZERO. For goodness sake, that is cruel.

This is seriously messed up… you need to rethink your entire perspective on this, because you’re not punishing the business… you’re just making life more difficult for the person who served you. If you’re giving to stiff your server, just stay the fuck home and cook. WHY do you think this okay?! 🤬

In 2021, COVID-19 took my mom. I didn't have many photos of her when she was young a woman, so I took the photo from her 1969 citizenship documents, restored it, and then turned it in to a glass portrait.

Today was her birthday.

I heard a bit of profound poetry last night. It goes like this: *clears throat"

But Kids are still in body bags."

Credit to the kids just wanting to live who protested at the Tennesse statehouse last night.

Every evening on Twitter, I share a message that there is a war in Ukraine. I started it as my 'fight' with Twitter algorithms hiding Ukraine. But I see that these messages are important everywhere to keep us in your hearts.

We are people. We can be tired. I am here to remind you about Ukraine 🇺🇦
