Are you only looking for donations of books on the list? I can think of other good books that might be in a similar vein that aren't listed here too.

If asked a lot of authors might donate books, but most authors I know would write more for a Young Adult audience and not children.

That's because most US news outlets are either propaganda or little more than tabloids these days.

Somehow I'm not optimistic. Anyone TFG appointed should have to recuse themselves from ruling on the case, but you know they won't. They're all just itching too badly to see him get re-elected again.

I had read this morning he was in hospice but later started seeing articles that he had passed. This has been a not-so-great week for music. 56 is way too young.

I’m there myself at the moment. Having to ask for help sucks. I wish we lived in a country where we had nothing to worry about but getting better. Sadly life just doesn’t work that way.

Unfortunately, I live in a rural area. I could get up to a certain amount covered toward a wig, but it would only be good at a wig store that is too far away for me to get to. I presently can't drive and there's no public transit that goes there.

I'm old enough to not only remember but to have been subjected to lectures at my church youth group. I had my book, cassette tape, and comic collection taken out into the driveway and burnt in front of me. Everything was 'of the devil.' Fundies were and still are a special kinda paranoid stupid.

I had a half-off coupon from winning NaNoWriMo, so it ended up costing me almost nothing. It's cheaper than almost any other program out there.

I've been using Scrivener for several years now. It was a bit of a learning curve at first, but it's made organizing and moving back and forth in a document so much easier than dealing with Word. I only use Word during editing now.

That pretty much sums up my thoughts about Mother's Day. My dad at least tried sometimes when Mom wasn't there. Every nice thing he ever did for me he had to hide from her.

I try to post music all the time, but hardly anyone pays attention to it.

I'd be in favor of #NewMusic or #CoolMusic tags

For example, this one would fall under the #NewMusic or #NewMusic2023 category.

Donations like this are always needed. Sweats, drawstring pajama pants, and gym shorts are good but don't forget cotton underwear and socks too.

As someone who's been there, I can tell you just how important little things like this are. No one should have to leave an exam wearing a hospital gown.

I live in a really rural area. Writer's groups just don't exist here, sadly. I tried founding one once, but never got more than 2 people to come, and it went belly up when the pandemic hit.

I haven't seen much point in networking outside of emotional support and such. Most writers are too busy trying to write and market their own books to have the time or money to support other writers. People even expect to be paid big money to beta read now.

I must admit those people are a good deal of why I left the church. I never stopped believing in a higher power, but I have no use for so-called 'Christians' and cherry-picked religion anymore.

I know several artists that do stellar book covers for reasonable rates that don't use AI.

Sadly it's the same for writers. Now the book store is flooded with AI-generated books. How is a real author supposed to compete with a program that can churn out entire books in seconds?
