My very good friend died yesterday at age 64, seven months shy of retirement. She never got to enjoy her much anticipated retirement because she needed the health insurance. Fuck those who want to raise the retirement age to 70 and keep health insurance tied to employment. ????????

Two bits of good news: first, the atrocious Florida US History clarifications involving the “benefits” of enslavement don’t go into effect this year. Perhaps they’ll be scrapped before next year. Second, my district announced we won’t use any PragerU materials. Awaiting guidance on nicknames. 🙄

FYI for the new folks. Lots of shady people have said lots of unfounded things about Spoutible and Bouzy. Don't let it scare you off. The Spoutible team values security and transparency, and nothing I've seen since February has given me any doubt about that.
