Yep, I had the same. That's why he renamed it "X". I bailed a few weeks ago and deactivate my account. I just wish more of the big names I was following would do the same. It just takes a few to start the exodus.

We own 2 electric cars, several non electric bikes, but bike safety is a growing concern and I would love more infrastructure changes to accommodate cyclists.

That political party consists of millions of people and is a significant segment of the population, so yes America is broken. There are more Republican-led states than Democratic states, 27 to be exact. It's important not to pretend we came extremely close to a full collapse of our government.
Profit Greenly @ProfitGreenly
Is that America or just one of our political parties. Seems important to be specific.

Yes this!

It’s not necessarily that more people prefer Republican led government. All but one (the one following 9/11) Presidential Election of the last 30 years saw a Democrat win the popular vote.

It’s that the Democratic Party fails to focus on State/Local (and off year!) elections.

I kind of wish more apprenticeship tracks were embedded in universities just so you can get skill cross-pollination in both directions like architects taking plumbing and knowing what works and plumbers taking architecture. We'd have better buildings

David Neary's friend in Spain was feeling unwell and took a covid test. The good news is it’s not covid. The bad news it is the flu.

The astonishing news is Spanish covid tests are dual-Covid/flu tests and why in the hell are these not available everywhere?!

"Dear New York Times,
The reason the 14th Amendment is “obscure” is that insurrectionists don’t routinely run for president. The ban on insurrectionists wasn’t intended to be used all the time — only when needed. Like now.
Hope that clears things up.
Sincerely,
Mark"

if Joe Biden ever told anyone to "rot in hell," Fox News would turn it into a weeks-long 'scandal.' Hannity would shit roofing nails on live television. the white-hot furor from the entire wingnut outrage-industrial complex would rip a fucking hole in the space/time continuum

I've seen the behavior, even experiencedit. Folks don't like admitting it but it's there. For example when I was talking about my experience between here and Twitter, I said, at the time, I had more engagement on twitter. Nothing bad about Spoutible. People told me to leave, called me racist, etc.

This might be a little more serious than I usually am on Spoutible. But from what I have seen over the months as the community has built up, it seems safe enough to me to discuss something rather personal.

How to keep AI from being a problem:

1. Never give it rights.
2. Assume everything it does is at best negligent.
3. Make its owners pay for any trouble it causes.

Unline Twitter, we will use Pods to its full potential by hosting exclusive events, Q&A sessions with high-profile people, and debates with 2024 candidates. But the unique features we will release will make the experience different from anything you have seen to date.

I said what I said, Tim. The acronym and answer are correct.😐️

Google PEMDAS...
Tim Blankenship @Handy_Flow_Charts
It's PEDMAS, not PEMDAS. Acronym is wrong though your answer is right.

Rough night's sleep? Can't seem to get your thoughts together?

Ride a bike for 20 minutes. Just 20 minutes of moderate exercise, like riding a bike or a brisk walk, improves cognitive performance according to a new study.

Try to bike to work, or the grocery store. Your mind will thank you.

Had my first time getting my Christmas tree by bike this year. I'd been apprehensive because I'd never done it before, but it was soooo easy. Christmas trees are a lot lighter than you think and the kid handlebars secure it easily. Only issue was all the dropped needles, but that's no big deal.

Such a good question.
Spoutible has the best structure/features by far...

Bluesky has many more diverse & active communities...

Whomever wins better have all the features on this platform!
