I miss making and buying presents for my mom and dad. This year I pickled green beans for the first time and they would've loved them. I saw a great puzzle they would've liked. They'd have gotten a kick out of getting some banned books too. All their gifts for me would've been surprises. 💔

I have always loved this. Shoot, my fam probably watched this when it first aired - back when there were just 3 broadcast and PBS, without VCRs, we collectively saw a lot more in common. TV at a certain era was a very shared history.

Yesterday, an individual created a fake account under the name “Vootin” with the intention of spamming hashtags and disseminating falsehoods. Initially, we chose not to immediately suspend the account to leverage this incident as an opportunity to test our automatic alert system and evaluate how Spoutible’s user base would react to the troll.
We received an overwhelming response, with over 700 reports being submitted by Spoutible users, indicating a high level of concern regarding this individual’s behavior. Most Spoutible users did not engage with the account and chose to block it instead. We believe that if not for the “Making Waves” section, the troll’s actions would have gone unnoticed and only affected a small number of users.

Saw a TikTok just now of a woman who was in store with a visibly ill person in line. No mask. That was Saturday. This week, she was so sick - thought it was sinuses. Had to go to ER. Tested positive for Covid and RSV.
