This was my favourite movie last year. It deserved more attention than it received. 💛

Always looking for new works of SciFi... This sounds like just the ticket... Thanks for sharing...
Keith Law @keithlawR.F. Kuang's BABEL is the most recent winner of the Nebula Award for Best Novel, an epic novel about imperalism, translation, and privilege that also upends the typical narrative arc of its genre. My review: https://klaw.me/494t2oW #bookdiscussion12:42 PM - Jan 22, 2024

Braves looking smart once again. Now, if they can only avoid Philly in the playoffs next year.

Mets traded Kelenic (and others) for Robinson Canó and Edwin Díaz in 12/2018. Kelenic was a top prospect at the time. Canó was a waste, but after some ups/downs Díaz got back to being a top notch closer. Hoping he comes back healthy this season after an injury during the WBC cost him the season.

I think the takeaway from tonight's debate is, DeSantis walked straight into a trap.
Newsom is using this whole thing to deliver 90 minutes of free advertising of the Biden administration's accomplishments to Fox News viewers. He was just using DeSantis for the opportunity.

If you're against abortion rights for women
you don't also get to be
against insurance plans
covering birth control for women.

Phil Burk @PigInZen67Good point. I left out that I am both lazy and a jack of all trades with my hobbies and interests (jack of all trades, master of none). I mostly lurk and only rarely comment. That works against me, too.09:10 AM - Nov 12, 2023

Republicans are getting hammered on the abortion issue. Democrats need to stop panicking; the polls are shit.

Keith Law @keithlawHeather McGhee's The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together makes a clear and compelling case that much government spending that would benefit everybody end up cut or eliminated because too many Americans believe it's a zero-sum game. VICTORY: Democrats stop shutdown of federal government, leading passage of spending bill — and stripping out the GOP’s extremist measures (like slashing Social Security).

Unpopular opinion I'm sure but some companies are filling orders too quickly these days. Like I placed an order around 1am while waiting for the Benadryl to kick in, I'm not really emotionally prepared to have it delivered tomorrow morning. Could UPS maybe lose it for a day or two?

Glad you had good experiences in Baltimore. It does look like you were limited to places walkable from your hotel... and that's a shame. We've got foodie resorts springing up in neighborhoods all over town.

Great person to follow! Excellent writing about lots of topics.
Keith Law @keithlawThis week's roundup has links to stories on the failed lab-leak hypothesis, a woman who escaped a serial killer, Elon Musk, police ticketing in high schools, Oppenheimer and Congolese miners, a Maine hospital suing a teenager, Luis Rubiales, tiny forests, long COVID, & more: https://klaw.me/3KZHhlv10:41 AM - Aug 26, 2023

I've tried these - Bluesky, Post, Mastodon, T2, Threads – and Spoutible is the only one that can truly replace how and why I used Twitter.
@cbouzy has done a great job and I think the lack of media attention for Spoutible has everything to do with the fact he's a successful Black founder.

Christopher Bouzy @cbouzyA lot of people are on Twitter talking about Twitter alternatives this morning. If you still have a Twitter account, make sure you tweet about Spoutible. Let's keep Spoutible in the conversation.07:34 AM - Jul 24, 2023

On this week's episode of Contempt of Court, I explain my court expansion plan. Not adding 2 or 4 justices, but adding 20. Don't let the bigger number fool you, my plan is not more radical, and it's *less* partisan than the smaller plans.

2 Threaded Spouts
I really liked Google+.
Threads is an influencer cesspool. #bluesky is fine, but lacking features. Being in the tech industry, #Mastodon is where most of the people I follow ended up, but #Spoutible has them all beat on features. I hope more people discover this place.

Christopher Bouzy @cbouzyYou don't see it happening because an add-on app to another app launched two days ago, and you think that everything else is now irrelevant? Good luck with Threads, but the hype will quickly fade. I remember the hype when Google+ launched, and how is that going?08:30 AM - Jul 07, 2023
