This is the dumbest take. Abuse of women is more prevalent because we live in a patriarchal society that devalues women and excuses men. It has nothing to do with "stronger", it has to do with men being more violent and being in the privileged position of being rewarded and excused for violence.

Went to the salon to get my hair done and used my time to clear up misperceptions about our economy, vp &prez. Was chatting with my stylist and another client of hers. Complaints about recession were met with facts. Coulda a heard a pin drop. Being a pro-democracy menace might be my new hobby. 😉

My heart is broken today. I lost my husband unexpectedly this week after complications from a medical procedure. We are in our mid-40s and have a young teen son. Are there other spouties here who have gone through a similar thing at a similar age? Am looking for advice and support in a way forward,
